Injuries have plagued Steven Bergwijn throughout his career, but he has been through some tough times in recent months. On August 18th, Bergwijn suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during a game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He underwent surgery on the injury and is expected to be out for several weeks.
Despite this setback, Bergwijn is optimistic about his recovery and hopes to return to action soon. In his latest update, Bergwijn spoke with reporters about his progress:
"Right now, I'm doing pretty well," said Bergwijn. "I've had a little bit of swelling in my knee,Chinese Super League Matches which I'll deal with over the next few days. It's not anything too serious, so it shouldn't cause me any major problems."
Bergwijn's rehabilitation plan includes physical therapy and strength training exercises. He also plans to work with a specialist to address any lingering issues that may arise from his injury. Bergwijn remains hopeful that he will be able to return to full strength before the start of the season.
While he is currently unable to play, Bergwijn continues to push himself to get back to where he was before his injury. With time and proper care, he believes he can return to playing at the highest level again.
As of now, Bergwijn is focused on getting back to his usual self and preparing himself for what lies ahead. He knows that injuries come with a price, but he is prepared to face them head-on and come out stronger than ever before.
