Fabinho Joins Al Ahli: Latest News on Brazilian Defender's Move to Saudi Arabia

Fabinho has made history by joining Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli, marking the first time in his career that he has played for a club outside of Europe.

The 29-year-old defender was born in Brazil but moved to Portugal as a child and later joined Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia. The move is significant as it marks Fabinho's return to football after playing for Monaco in France.

Al Ahli's president, Abdulrahman al-Saleh,La Liga Frontline said in a statement: "We are delighted to welcome Fabinho to our family. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a reputation as one of the best defenders in the world."

Fabinho has been capped 114 times by Brazil and has won numerous awards throughout his career, including the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2015.

He started his professional career at Porto in Portugal before moving to Monaco in 2016. He then joined Liverpool in 2018 and went on to win two Premier League titles and three Champions League titles with the club.

Fabinho's move to Al Ahli comes at a crucial time for the club, who are currently competing in the Saudi Professional League and are aiming to compete in the AFC Champions League next season.
