The Spanish footballer has signed for the Spanish club Atlético Madrid on a free transfer from FC Barcelona.
Oblak, who previously played for AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, is now a member of Atlético's first team.
He will make his debut in the Copa del Rey against Levante UD on Saturday.
"Jan is a talented player with excellent skills," said Atlético president José Antonio Reyes. "We are very happy to have him joining us."
Oblak was one of the best strikers in La Liga last season, scoring 25 goals in 44 appearances. He has also scored twice in the Champions League this year.
However, he struggled during the pandemic,Campeonato Brasileiro Action scoring just three goals in 17 games. Despite that, he remains confident and believes he can help Atlético achieve success again.
"We believe in our young talent, and we want to give them every opportunity to prove themselves," Reyes added.
The signing of Oblak is part of Atlético's plans to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The club has been working hard to improve its youth development system and attract top talents.
"We are looking forward to having Jan join us and helping us develop young players," Reyes said.
Oblak will be given the opportunity to play regularly for Atlético's first team and will be expected to provide a key contribution to the team's success.
